I'm Keenan Kalra, a software engineer focused on building intelligent systems that combine solid engineering with practical AI. I currently work at Oracle, contributing to projects that bring machine learning and automation into enterprise infrastructure.

I'm pursuing my Master's in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Texas at Austin, where I study applied ML, reinforcement learning, and systems for real-time perception. I'm deeply interested in bridging research with deployment by taking ideas from concept to something you can actually run in production, whether it's an API on cloud or a containerized ML demo.

My projects range from RAG-based chat systems and ASR pipelines to beamforming for assistive audio devices. Beyond engineering, I value design that's functional and calm: systems that are fast, reliable, and easy to reason about. I believe in writing clear code, understanding every abstraction I use, and building tools that make people more capable.

When I'm not coding, I'm usually watching NFL games, coming up with models to help me in fantasy football, biking to explore new places, or trying out new recipes. I like to learn by doing by picking up technologies, breaking them, and rebuilding them better.
